Gday i just got the same psu , Does your rear not kick on ? From other videos some are really loud but mine seems very quiet and the rear fan doesnt seem to spin at least from the first 2 hours of my testing
I sure like that 240v outlet you got setup. I need to find a journeyman to setup that up if I want I bet right? THEN get that 240v pdu so THEN i can plug in regular 120v and that will give the hp server 1200w gooder power right?
can you help me too, be quiet! platinium 1200w or hp server 1200/1500w. Which one should I choose?.the most important for me is less power consumption. I'll use 6 or 8 cards rx 570 with btc-t37.
Did you need to switch anything on the server psu to adjust it from 120v to 240v? I can’t find the switch.
So I have a couple of hp1200 watts psus. What do I need to run it on 220v? Obviously the outlet , but what other components? Just a power cable from wall to psu? Or is it necessary to have a pdu?
AWESOME!!! Been looking for something like this. What about my b250 bomber? ASUS B250 Mining board. It has 19 SLOTS! All my mining buddies are whine-asses and say it can't be used. Could you show us how to hook up a b250 mining board?
Good video Rabid. Keep’em coming
Why not give a shout out of your beautiful Be Quiet PC case?
Ahhh…thanks for taking me to your mining basement! 👍🏻
Hey Rabid. I like your videos they are informative for those new to mining. Do you think the 240v + hp powersupplies use lower amount of wattage? Do you think you can do a video showing the actual electrical cost using one of those nifty watt meters which show the amount your spending for each rig per day? Sounds like a good idea for a future follow up on this video.
I am sure even the most veteran miner would really get a kick out of the results.
Wow nice. Dimensions of the stand please.
One day I'll have 240v everything 🙁
Meter looks dope! In theory the cards should run "cooler" on the 240v as well.
DPM 5 means NO undervolting (it's also the default value – so there's no point in setting it to 5 anyway). You should have that set for 1 for Polaris cards like you have. Also you MDPM – the HIGHEST value for Polaris cards is 2! No idea what effect that has – but the value – should be 1. Even without a bios mod – you should be closer to 60W-65W – that DPM 5 is what's killing you.
Hey from NB! Great videos man – keep 'em coming!
This is good insight to have.
Thanks for doing the test on 240v with your meter 😉
It just shows that they actually do get more efficient once you are past the 600w mark.
These power supplies are safe to run pretty much at 100% load 24/7.
Ive had no issues loading them at 1050w.
and as you know the wall reading is the input wattage, so if you put in 1000w at 90% efficiency, the power supply will only be putting out about 900w so having it read around 1050-1100w at the wall is still around 80% load.
The only reason not to fully load these power supplies is to reduce the noise as they run very loud above 900w+
