CPU Mining Make Over
So on this video I swap out a few of my barrel plug ends for Anderson Plugs in addition to add on the opposite brackets and take away my earlier 3d printed stand offs to make extra rigs slot in much less area in the end releasing up more room for extra rigs.
CPU MINING Profit Calculator:…
Thoughts on the new stands and connectors?
OMG!! what is the model of breakoutboard you are using?
I used Amazon basic 5 tier wire shelves. Stood the motherboards on edge and alternated positioning so the coolers all tetris together. Zip ties, foam spacer blocks…. managed to get 6 MB per rack, with a 20 box fan blowing upwards and a 20 in box fan sucking out the top. Used ridged foam board and tape to build an enclosure around them.
Hey man, I'm a semi seasoned GPU miner, I have 7 rigs with 49 GPUs in total pointed at various coins, mostly ETH. I recently got into mining monero, because why not, I have 8 CPUs sitting doing nothing while GPU mining. I'm currently pulling about 60K H/s which I'm very happy with, your videos have helped a lot.
I have to ask though, why not slap a 1660 super on each one of your CPU rigs and point them at ETH/RVN (Or even unmineable and get paid in XMR or ADA?)? Seems like wasted potential in your awesome farm. Thanks for the quality content!
I have a surplus of motherboards and cpus I can't get rid of. Like i7-10700, i9-10850, and amd 5600….. wish I could sell them. Maybe I should mine on them….
Rabid, please tell me, what coin do you mine on your rigs? Thank for you video.
Density is really the way to go. If you were to replace the heat sinks with water blocks, you could sandwich the boards in a transformer arrangement plate stack. All you would need is long sections of threaded bar that fits the motherboard holes, nuts and no conductive washers. Should be able to fit one system every 2 inches. Power a massive stack like that would be… interesting, but doable.
definitely the best content you've released in a while, unique, factual and a great idea, please go back to doing more like these, was the reason i subbed to you a long time back
Very nice man!
props for using the Pico PSUs I started using them couple years ago and they are awesome and great space savers
Nice space optimization, however be careful, if one motherboard falls on another while being powered on, it could accidentally cause some short and burn down your whole mining operation :$
Have a great week ahead my brother Rabid <3
Make a 5800x 3D hash for us one day. See how it goes.
I'm from the UK and with a bit of research I found parts on most mining websites and eBay . The wire I found for server PSU was 6pin to everything you need for CPU rig, π€ I need to get that STL now π«£
The piece count of the stand off kit can't be a coincidence. Guarantee that quantity alone increases sales.
And what are you mining bro?
great timing on vid, I was wondering how the F you were using that weird psu breakout board to power 2 rigs. I'm thinking about doing the same thing with 2 5900x rigs after I finish this 3900x rig, and get a few more GPU for good measure. I have to recover from paying my crypto taxes 1st tho, that hurt lol fck the IRS. no crypto laws is supposed to mean no taxes but we have to support our communist governments I guess. (your new stands look good tho, personally I screwed my rigs to the wall)
Can you p[lease list the power components you are using from Server PSU (the brand/wattage) to the Board on the back on the Server PSU, and the Pico Breakout board (the brand/wattage), Anderson Connectors (the brand/wattage). Where do you also recommend buying these components for fellow Canadians. Let us know about that heat over time on those Boards being so close. Cheers and great content as always.
you sure rig 5 isnt mad about not being up front
You're still mining this trash coin? I stopped at 900 RTM.
The price hasn't gone anywhere last time I looked, the devs are dumb AF too.
edit
It's worth significantly less than last time I looked. LOL. Glad I didn't waste power and money on this coin.
Can you make a tutorial video for power up multiple rig with pico and server PSU?
i got a cpu rig im going to wall mount. Might make a video on it.
really cool.but what coins are profitable atm?started spec-mining babycoin just for fun xD raptoreum is not profitable with 0,30cent in germany and price action looks grim… π
I sold all of my rigs. When you add up the power cost and the depreciation, It's just not profitable. Remember, when the new the CPUs come out they will be more efficient and the hash rate will go up, as a result, making your current CPU less profitable due to the added hash rate. Then there is depreciation, when I bought my 3900x I was able to build a rig for about 700 ish now if I sell the same rig I will only get about 450 ish. If you're CPU mining to hold a coin, hoping the coin will go to the moon, then it makes more sense to just buy the coin. Let me know if you disagree.
why you are not using gpu minning on same mother board ?
should have used xt60 connectors or even xt30 …but anything is better then those barrel connectors
Nice 420 screws.
Wich CPU coin is more profitable at the moment ?
Looking good my man!
Very nice !
Use cpu xmr mining nd make profitably viedo
Whats your ROI estimate on those cpu rigs with current earning?
I recently messed with my rigs. Had one that would not boot at power on which made me think I burned a rig. π
After a week when i had free time i found out that my bios was cleared. π€¦ββοΈπ€£
Set everything back and all was fine. ππΌπ€πΌ
OR you could just add/adjust your shelves
Which is best coin to mine with 5800x ?(currently mining monero) And i dont know hashrate in every algo
