CPU MINING Raptoreum
In this video I got here throughout some outcomes that made testing CPUs on Raptoreum a lot simpler additionally one other fascinating piece of knowledge pops up might the 3000 collection be outperforming the 5000 collection on Raptoreum?

Mad Electron Engineering video:…
Appreciate all the great info; you help beginners like me as well as seasoned miners!
Thanks for the info and video.
I've had nothing but trouble with all of the rigs I bought. I bought five of everything. I have Ryzen 3950x and 470 gaming mother boards. Just an absolute waste of money. None of them work lol
Hey where you get those supports for motherboard?
How do i delete the original tune so I can full tune it? On hive os
What is actually being "Tuned"? Is it modifying BIOS level settings like power and frequency? Or is it just benching your system and tuning the mining program to better utilize the CPU? Im just wondering if I let it do a FULL TUNE will my manually overclocked processer lose all its settings? I cant seem to find an answer anywhere. I want to mine daily but still use it regularly for a few hours at night – without having to bounce back and force changing tons of settings every time.
hey love your mining setup <3 where can i get the small plastic bits you have under your motherboard ? where can i buy them ?
can i use a tune file from one system and copy it to a second system to save on running a tune on the 2ed system only diffrence is motherboard both use same model cpu
Totally new to all this, great information. Thanks for the videos!
Is there any reason that I could not use a CPU mining rig to also power like 4 GPU's mining on the same motherboard? Any things that would make this not a good idea? Again totally new to mining. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Hi Rabid Mining! Is there necessery to provide any changes in BIOS for 5900x mining?
Hi nice vid man. I also play around a bit and noticed that i have started to lose daily 5-6 raptoreum a day with same settings. I am using r9 5900x 2 sticks of ram 3200 cl16 board msi b550m pro wdhwifi with XMP on with curve optimizer ON and with PBO on sets to manual at bios. At 1 day i was aweraging 4100h/s but after 2 days hash goes down to 3.6k-3.5k i didnt restart pc ower 5 days now. But i will try this tip tnx…
And from 42 RTm/day i am getting 34 just in 2 days weired!!
It's ridiculous
Can you share settings for 3900XT, my current settings 4.1GHz @ 1.2V using 22 Threads along with GPU mining. Currently getting 30-34 RTM per day average.
How the hell people running these Ryzen cpus without gpus?
is it to late to mine rtm?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think Rig 5 would be happier if he was a 3950x. I'm noticing better hash rates on my 3900 series compared to my 5900 series but I wasn't sure and thought it couldn't be right seeing the 5900 series is the newer chip but you have confirmed it. Would love to see an official bench mark between the 3950 with the 5950 on the exact motherboards and ram. That should put it to bed!
This might be a dumb question. I tuned my CPUs with the GPU connected because I didn't want to cut the tune short and restart or break something. Now I'm getting "GPU driver error, no temps" on my rigs. Would that cause it? Would I need a re-tune without the gpu in? Im away from home and my rigs are down and won't come back online 🙁
What is a good crypto to mine with the amd ryzen 7 5800x am4 desktop CPU
It seems like 5000 series requires a bit higher clock (e.g. 4.2ghz) vs 3000 series (at 3.8ghz) to get similar hash. But 5000 is also a bit more power efficient so it probably doesn't take much more watts anyway.
Also L3 cache amount per core is important, hence why 3900/5900x outperform 3950/5950x (at hash/core)
Thank you Rabid for amazing video, I'm bad at English so I don't understand everything you say, but that's enough for a newbie like me.
Can i ask a few questions, i want to mine eth and rtm at the same time, will it affect each other? When i mine rtm, is the stockfan that comes with cpu enough or do i have to change to another fan? some think like AIO or noctua (NH-L9i
for example) ?
hi Rabid Mining ..is it dangerous to set cpu core ratio to 44.00mhz with ryzen 9 5900x b550 asus motherboard with water cooler…?
Great video. Information on the different boards, cards, and the different swings are nice
@Rabid Mining , do you have MSR and lareg pages active on hive os? I keep getting info: consider running as root to enable MSR and large pages. Do you have any solution for that?
Is 1 x 8gb ram enough on the motherboard? my cpu ryzen5 3600
Using all threads for RTM will drop the hashrate for RVN miner you're running?
Stupid question. Can you mine gpus on these rigs if they are running raptoreum as well?
If you have a good CPU tune then there's no need to re-tune. The reason the 5000's tend to have issues getting a good tune is the power/thermal management due to boosting. Also too low of a voltage for the 3000/5000 series can trigger very small halt states in the CPU to keep it from crashing. The 5000's are a bit more sensitive to the halt state than the 3000's. Its best to tune at a fixed clock speed that wont trigger any thermal or clock speed or halt state changes when certain rotations and precache methods are used. I have hand tuned my 3900x (open and edit the tune_config file by hand) and at 4.29ghz/1.3v am currently at a 24 hour periodic average of 3.7Kh with miner average reported at 3.95kh, In windows. 🙂 EDIT – There's a mode in AMD CBS (or was it VBS) that treats CCX's as NUMA nodes. It might be worth playing with.
Rabi is there a way to track your raptoreum? I'm on the 011 pool at 2.5 hs Temps are much lower at 49 thanks to your settings. I wanted to know if I could put my address and see how far it is on mining?
I have the same Mobo but it can't run headless without a GPU for some reason? Anyome know why
Maybe this is irrelevant, but are you using a motherboard and ram "designed" for the 5950x? Reason I ask is I originally installed my 5950 in a b450m chipset with 3200 ram. I moved it over to a x470 chipset and seen a a bump in hashrate, I think it was around 30ish, no retune. I swapped the ssd and ram with the cpu. I am waiting on the delivery of my ddr4 4000 ram. I realize that the cpu is doing all the work but the chipset the Zen2 is potentially bottle necking the system. I'll know Monday or Tuesday. FYI I now have a decent cpu farm with plans of doubling down. My cpu's now…1-5950x, 5-3900x, 1-5800x and a 3800x. I have my eyes on some EPYC cpu's in the future. I got the 5950x for free 🙂
I can confirm that the 3000 series performs better then the 5000 series. I have one 3900x and two 5900Xs and everything is the same when it comes to mobo, ram, power supply and even the cpu cooler. All 3 stations are running the exact overclock in the bios. The 5900Xs average about 3250kh where my 3900x will hash around 3520kh. You would think a newer gen would be better but I guess not.
I'm guessing it's better on windows because HiveOS doesn't let you compile from source and windows has different binaries for different cpu types. You also can remove the dev fee if you compile from source, just like xmrig.
What average MH should i be getting for a 3950x?
Hi what should be the settings for 3600/3600XT, running my GPU rig on these CPU ? And how much I can get from these two CPU
I'm running a 5600x at 1700h/s and I'm only getting about 20 RTM/day lately. How are you guys doing? I'm mining to supernova now. When I was at flockpool my payouts were similar
On intel cpu's at least, I don't see that much of a difference with extra ram. On a cpu that will do 4.5kh/s on Monero rx/o it will go up to 4.8kh/s with 4 sticks of ram over 1 stick
Who care raptoreum is fucking garbage
Maybe is only because of the cache for every single treads example
64 mb l3/24 treads= 2,6mb for threads (3900x)
64mb l3 /32 treads= 2mb for treads (5950x)
Remenber 3600x much better than 10900k in raptoreum why?
Rabid, Im not sure it you’re aware of it. If you mine rtm with ghost rider in hive and with eth mining at the same , ghost rider will eventually start crapping out and throwing out invalids after some time. Try it and make sure u use Ryzen
Mr. Rabid Mining I have a question that google has not been able to answer. I've been GPU mining for the last year but recently I started CPU mining on the same motherboard. Can we mix GPU/CPU mining without loss of hashrate?
Soooo, is it late to buy cpus? 5900x are at 480 dollars, but with the difficulty increasing, we're looking for a roi of 6 months?
5950x no mb settings changed, running average 4.45KH/s according to pool, 64c CPU temp 360 AIO cooler, hiveos
Is it normal for your ram to fill up after a day or 2 of running the miner?
what are the best choice of RAM capacity and frequency? is every motherboard requires 1 SSD or do we want just 1 SSD for all motherboards for installing the windows system?
These hashes are way above mine.
I have one 3900x I get 96H/t. B450 @ 1.1,3950Mhz
And 2×[email protected] and 1.1V. B550 Tomahawk only get 104H/s on benchmark. All full tunes.
Bios on all,
F6, then disable pbo, set ratio and set voltage to AMD over clock. My [email protected] sits around 155W. How can my figures be SOO much slower? Running Linux, but I tested on Windows and HiveOS with slightly different results. Couple hashes.
Great video Rabid. Your educating many people in crypto world ! Great work!👏
i have r7 3700x 4.35 GHz , 1.35V on 14 cores doing 2.11KH/s on avg it is good?
We don't use Euros in Canada.
Great video, thanks for all your effort. I know you have done a video comparing Cl14 to CL16 on XMR have you any insight on the improvement on Rraptorium? as cl14 is twice as expensive for me to cl16, I am wonder if it is worth the cost?
