Hi, it looks like i have the same one. But when i plug it to the wall i dosent give me any power on the other end. Nothing. Should i short some pins for it? Im out of ideas. I bought bran new unit
in case of power cut, how yo automatically start the hp psu before the pc starts.
in my case when my rig turn on after the power cut, it doesn't mine until I manually turn on hp psu and then pc in the same order.
it's very frustrating, switching my rig on manually after each power cut.
thats vantage of 220v
Hello thanks fo the video
my hp1500w power supply heats up quite a bit at 40% load
I wanted to know if this is normal?
I have other hp1200w power supplies which are much cooler.
What is the normal temperature of the power metal cases?
Thanks in advance 🙂
I bought one of these and didn't glance over the 900w max output for 150v and it will be powering 6 3060s and motherboard, is the 80% rule for 900w or 1200w since it is 150v, does that mean I would have to buy another psu or am I fine?
no u are not using 1020w on the server psu and 20w on the motherboard. 20w… are only your fans. i guarantee you u are using more than 120w for motherboard cpu ram hdd and fans . so the server psu is doing like 900-920w.
do you use some extenders to power the risers from hp psu?
This means I can get a "silent" (as in its not going to become a jet" mining rig with a server psu to power most of the cards and decent ATX psu for the MB and some cards? Sounds like money to me Thabks for the video it was hard to find this info about the noise
The PSU you are using is only capable of drawing 900W on a 110V plug
Why does 80% matter? I've not heard this before. Thanks
how many 3060ti's you think would run on this psu safely?
can you help me too, be quiet! platinium 1200w or hp server 1200/1500w. Which one should I choose?.the most important for me is less power consumption. I'll use 6 or 8 cards rx 570 with btc-t37.
Are you in the US, or a country that uses 120V Mains Voltage? If so, that psu is only rated to 900W and 75A.
What is the correct type of power cord to utilize with these PSUs? I assume the standard power cord from a PC ATX PSU may not be appropriate. What is recommended?
Hi. Hope you notice my question. I just starting mining and im looking to get one these server psu. I just wanna make sure if its ok to plug a 6 pin to dual 8 pin cables on each of the slot of breakoutboard without frying everything?
Question you mention spliters if the card as one 8-pin, but and you power a card with two 8-pins using and a riser if you use a 8-pin vga from the atx psu?
I quadruple dare anyone to show me PROOF about this totally made up – 100% b.s. – crap told by youtubers – 'rule of 80%' – there is no such rule. It seems to me that people have the efficiencies confused/compounded w/ the limit. The limit is the limit it's sold @. An 800W does 800W – PERIOD. If it's an 80% efficient supply – you can expect that it takes 864W to make that 800W – but you will NOT get – nor there is ANY RULE about only using 80% of the available maximum power rated power. It's not some kind of 'trick'. When you buy a 1000W ps you get 1000w. There's not some marketing game that secretly means it's really only 800W and they are tricking you. I see dozens of Super casual youtube miners who no know nothing about how a regulated power supply works – and just keep repeating the next guys stupid advice. This is annoying and frustrating. I have 25+ years as a certified electronics technician – I'm not guessing.
the HP 1200 will spin up at 1000 but come down 10-20% once load is normalized. Above 1100 and into 1150 is when it goes full out, but that was what you already heard, the high pitch whine. It doesn't get loader than that, unless it's a broken/bad fan.
I am just troubled whether the dual power supply can use different brands. This video helped me, thank!
Hello
There is no subtitle option for their videos. would you take care of this I think it will be more useful
I just got this HP1200w PSU with a Parallel miner ZSX break out board (its dope af) im running 3 Asus RS 5600xt pulling 222w (per system) and its practically silent, a little warm to the touch tho…
good test, and the hp 1200w psu can run safely with high loads.
